Thaumatrope Assignment

I really liked the thaumatrope assignment. I thought it was interesting how the horse would flap its wings and move its legs when it spun very fast. It also helped me understand how animation worked which is a big one up for me. If I was to grade myself, I would give myself a B or a low A. Although the horse flapped its wings and moved its legs the way I wanted it to, there were many ways to improve. I could have put some more details in the background. I could have included more things that would have moved. I could have put other things in the sky other than just clouds. I could have put details on the land and added more perspective. I could have added textures on the horse and make it more realistic. I could have coloured the sky different shades because the sky isn't just one shade of blue. Notice how I started each sentence with "I could". The reason for that is because there are many ways to make your project better, but you only realize this when you reflect. With all the ways to improve, I am pretty sure that if I did this assignment again, there would be less need for improvement. We all learn from mistakes, and that is why we need to reflect on our work because that is the only way to get better at what we do.
